Your and DH's weights at birth???

MIL really enjoys seeing the look on my face when she reminds me that DH weighed 9 lbs and his brother weighed 9.9 !!!! I keep saying well I weighed 6, barely, so hopefully this baby at least meets us in the middle!!!!

Anyone else scared over large birth weights either in your family or DH's?

Me!!! DH was in the high 9's! I was High 6's!!!

Both DH and I were in the 7lb range so that doesn't scare me. But then I'm hearing my cousins now giving birth and their babies are all over 9lbs...that's when I start to get FREAKED OUT!!!!!

I was 8.2 I think, and DH was 6lb ish. We had two babies that were 7.15 and 7.16 already. So don't worry, you can't go by just your DH's birthweight.

dh was over 10lbs at birth and i was terrified!

I was 9 lbs 11 oz. DH was around 8 lbs!

i was 9.7 at birth and DH was in the mid 8's.

DD ended up being mid 7's, so you never know.

I was 7.1 and Dh was 7.4.....dd was 8.5 so you never know

I was 9lbs 12oz and DH was 11lbs... DS was 7lbs 6oz!!

Tell MIL you're not worried!

I was 7 lb 14oz and so was DH!

Our kids were:

7 lbs 13oz
8lbs 4oz

Interesting to see how we were all within a few ounces!

I had a feeling I was going to have a pretty big baby. I was 8lbs 6oz (and 6 weeks premature). DH was also over 8lbs.
DS was 8lbs even.

Dh was 6.6lbs and I was 8.3

DS weighed 8.7
DD weighed 7.6

I hope this is true for me, I was only 5lbs 6 ounces and DH was 6lbs 11oz.....so I'm expecting a tiny baby!! At my growth sono he was measuring in the 54% so we will see!!!

we were both bigger than Hailey 6.2!! I was 8.9 and Shaun was 7.6

ETA: all three of my sisters had 9lbers or above... they all had c-sections... one had GD.

All of their husbands are huge though...

DH was 9lb 5oz and I was 9lb 8oz so I had a feeling I would have a big boy. Well DS was 10lb 9oz so he was bigger than us both. My OB said your weight can give you an idea of your LOs, dh not so much.

I weighed 9lbs 11oz at birth. My brother was 10lb 1oz.
DH was 8lbs something.
DS was 9lbs 5 oz.

They were definitely concerned because he was measuring so large that I might have gestational diabetes but I honestly expected it being that it runs in my family.

I was around 9 and DH was over 10. I don't put much stock into it that we will have big babies. You never know.

i was born about 10.5 lb (but 3 weeks late) and DH was about 7lb ... DS was born 8lb 12oz.

Tell MIL that size doesn't matter!

(crashing) DH was mid 7 pounds and about 4 weeks early. I was 2 weeks late and 9.6.

Ds was 7 weeks early and was 4.11. Dr said he probably would have been low to mid 7's.

Dd was 6.13 and born a day before my due date that the Dr gave me.

I was 3lbs when I was born (twin)
I think DH was around 8 or 9.

Avg. that out and that's a 6lb baby.

I'm tiny so I'm hoping my body knows what I can and can't handle lol. At the end of the day I don't think a pound or 2 will make a difference.

(No one tell me if it does! I'd rather think this then be anxious about every pound the baby gains.)

i was under 6.

i was a little scared of giving birth to a big asssss baby. thank god tiny tot was only 6lbs 2oz

I was a 9 lb baby and DH was close to it and DD was just barely 7 lbs at birth. (she was like 6 lbs 15.5 oz- so they called it 7! )
I really don't think it's correlated at all IMO!

I was just shy of 11lbs (I was 3 wks late) and DH was around 5 lbs.
DS was 6lbs. 11oz. I was shocked that he was so small.

Me!!! I was 9 lbs 6 oz and DH was 9 lbs 4 oz! And in having twins!!!
