you want drama?
here ya go:
i HATE that DH and i spend so much time and effort figuring out what to get his parents and sister for christmas.
i shouldn't have bothered.
i got a sweater and a t-shirt. nothing from SIL (she's 20). oh yeah, and we got wall sconces. nice, but MIL's taste, not mine.
the gifts are nice, but WHY did we spend so much money on them?? (any by "much" i mean"any") they do this every year, i don't know why i am surprised.
same goes for his aunt and uncle. we got the UGLIEST goblet-shaped candle holders from A&P (they live in jersey).
yes i am an ungrateful beyotch.
ETA: when i say "we" i mean "i" - all the gifts went on MY credit card

People always say it's the "thought" that counts - And I think that is ENTIRELY true - When you actually put some THOUGHT into the gift !! -
It can be something worth $5 that you saw and knew the person would love and be better than something for $100 that you bought just for the sake of buying (or worse - re-gifted !!) ..........

no, it looks more like tara reid. skinny on bottom, bulbous on top, and kind of splotchy all over.

This always used to happen to me every Christmas... That's why this year we just did gifts for the kids and something really simple for the adults.... SOOOO happy I did that because when I opened my gift, it was another thoughtless, silly, cheap thing.
