Definitely pay off the credit card- the interest you are paying on that is a lot higher than what you would earn if you were to save it....

If you are carrying $3000 in credit card debt, you really don't have $80 extra. I would pay down your debt with it.

Since I didn't have this "extra" money before I'd definitely treat it as if it doesn't exist.
First I'd put it towards my credit card bills...then when those were paid off I'd probably start paying a little extra on student loans, etc....then if by some miracle I paid those off I'd put it into retirement & savings.

depends on the interest rate on your CC versus the interest rate on your savings. if your cc is higher than your savings, pay off the cc. if your cc interest is lower on what you get paid on your savings, put it towards savings.
eta: i wouldnt put it in retirment savings - id put it in a regular savings account. if you put it into retirement, and you need it sooner, you will (most likely-depending on what type of account) be penalized if you take it out.

I say put it towards retirement, when you retire....you will be very happy!
CC debit is something that you need to get control of. try and spend a little less.

Pay off the debt, then take the extra money and put it into a high yielding CD or an account that is just for savings.HTH

I agree! And then once that debt is payed off and you still have that extra $80 coming in, put it right into a savings account.
