You are NOT going to believe this...
I'm sure you all know the problems I've been having with my neighbors. WELL..my landlord came by and I decided to speak to them about the situation. Turns out this b**ch actually had the f***in nerve to complain about hearing my NEWBORN daughter cry at night.
Ok first of all you f***in idiot..I have a NEWBORN..you have a 9 year old son. A newborn CRIES when they are hungry and fussy.. that's the ONLY time you hear her crying and it stops immediately once she's fed etc. I cannot control when my daughter wakes up wanting to be fed, etc..but you on the other hand can control your 9 year old son from running all god damned day in the apartment!!
You say that "you don't hear anything....and are oblivious to noise..but yet you have the nerve to say you can hear my daughter crying??"
On top of that..she said she also hears my dog barking...when in fact the dog barks when the doorbell is rung, when she hears footsteps coming up to the apartments. Other than that..she doesn't bark.
I also told my landlord how we have been seeing roaches and waterbugs since they moved in, and this is where it gets ugly. She actually had the nerve to say "YOU KNOW why you people have roaches..we left the apartment IMMACULATE..so YOU KNOW". I told her "what do you mean I know?" Her husband then starts pointing his finger and saying "you people..." I got upset. "Us people?" They are italian and we are Puerto Rican. This house is occupied by mostly spanish people and 1 black person. I took that to mean our race is the reason why we have roaches. I told her we lived here for 6 months..and NEVER had a pest problem..and now we do...and you are going to say it's us? SHe says "I lived there 38 years and never had that problem, and what you want me to call exterminator? I'm not responsible for that". I told her, I'm not saying you have to call..I am only telling you so that you are aware of the problem..that's all.
On top of that..the ROWDY/TRASHY neighbors who NEVER pick up after their dogs...had the nerve to say I don't pick up after mine! WE are the ONLY ones who pick up after our dog. I can't believe this sh**!
I came upstairs LIVID and in tears. HOw DARE these f***in people say these things, and how dare our landlord treat me that way. I told DH it is taking EVERYTHING in me to not go upstairs and knock that b**ch out because she has NOTHING else to complain about except the baby. She KNEW when she moved here that I was pregnant, and now she wants to get petty? Ok..well I can do the same.
NOrmally I bring the baby to the living room when she wakes up or is crying..but NOW I'm going to let her cry in the room. F**k them!!
I told DH..we have to move and SOON because I'm going to kill someone on this block!
Basically this meeting was a waste of my f***in time!!

They were until I heard this..and now it's on. DH says I should ignore the complaint, but excuse me, I am post partum right now and HOW DARE them say ANYTHING about my daughter!! That's all she can say because she has nothing else to complain about...why??? BECAUSE WE ARE CONSIDERATE!! Well not anymore...I'm not going to be.

Seriously, it doesn't matter where the roaches came from, that just is NOT a suitable environment for your daughter to be in!!!!!! Not to mention your and DH's own sanity by living under such horrible conditions.
I'm sorry that they upset you so much, maybe you can use this as fuel to start looking for a new place!!

It's a private house, so yes she is responsible for it..and while she may THINK this is not her problem.. IT IS. It's not our responsibility to call an exterminator...and if we did you better believe we'd deduct it from the rent. Never mind the fact that her front yard gets used as a litter box by the stray cats who are BREEDING in this neighborhood. Hmm...let me guess..that's OUR PEOPLE's fault also!!!
God forbid there were rats here and I or anyone else was bitten, I'd take her to court in a MINUTE and she'd lose. Just another indication of them wanting their money only...that's it!!

My heart goes out to you. I would try and move as soon as I possibly could. I know it's hard, but I would do it for my child's sake. Your neighbors and your LL are all crazy.

No they don't live here and that's the problem!! When we first moved here they lived in the apartment we are living in now and we lived upstairs. Since they moved...this is what has been happening. They rented to the stupid a** upstairs, and we moved down to their apartment. Why? Because it has a balcony and was kept VERY clean and nice. Had I known this was going to happen, we would have stayed our a** upstairs.
To top it off..she had the nerve to accuse us of leaving the hall light on..when we in fact shut it off EVERY time we don't need it. The idiot who lives in the basement who DOES NOT pay for electricity leaves it on!!! He doesn't even lock the door. I told her..we don't leave the light on..and we always lock the door. Unfortunately since you don't live here anymore..people think they can whatever they want like PARK IN YOUR DRIVEWAY!!!!
I've HAD IT HERE!!!
I know stray cats aren't their problem..I was just pointing that out..because next thing you know she'll say the sh** smell is coming from MY dog when in fact it isn't. My dog weighs 10lbs!!!

I agree...and that is why we are looking now. I hope to be out of here by the end of the year or sooner.
Just sucks that we put so much time/effort into DD's nursery and now will have to redecorate. OH WELL..so be it!! If it means me having peace of mind then I'll take it IMMEDIATELY!
I tell you this much..the immature side of me is going to come out if I see this b**ch from upstairs.

i know of an apartment becoming available in suffolk. not sure where you are now or want to be. its a two bedroom. upstairs apartment, private outdoor entrance. in a two story/high ranch. the LL is an old lady who is sick, so her daughter deals with all of the stuff. its two bedroom, one full bath, one bedroom has walk in closet. theres also a hall closet and living room closet. kitchen and dining area, porch/balcony that you can fit patio furniture on, and use of backyard. let me know if interested, i can see if its still available.

Wow, it sounds like you really need to get out of there. I'm sure you don't want waterbugs and roaches crawling around you, nevermind your newborn daughter.
I know it seems like a nightmare to move, but I think it sounds like it would be best. Obviously your landlords are not reasonable people.

DH works in White Plains and can only live there, upstate or the Bronx. It's ridiculous...but yes we are making moves to get the hell out of here already.
