Yoga Pants and Sweat Pants-spinoff to mom attire
Do you consider them the same thing?
I never really wear sweats (I have 1 pair). I wear yoga pants a lot-after work, on the weekends around the house and sometimes out.
Just wondering if people consider them the same thing.

I don't consider them the same thing. I feel that sweat pants are frumpy looking. Yoga pants can look really cute. I don't own any sweat pants.

I don't think they are the same thing. My yoga pants are not made out of the same material that my sweat pants are.
I have 2 sweat suits but 3-4 yoga pants.

I do not own sweat pants, (they make me look frumpy lol) but I do wear velour "sweat" pants and yoga pants because they are much more fitted and show off a figure/more flattering.

Not the same for me. Some of my sweat pants are the running type, that nylon material and makes noise when you walk!

Re: Yoga Pants and Sweat Pants-spinoff to mom attire
Depends.
I wear yoga pants out and about and to workout.
I also wear Juicy sweatsuits out to the store.
But I have Victoria Secret boyfriend style sweats & pj'S that are so comfy but only for home.
So it depends on the fit IMO.

Re: Yoga Pants and Sweat Pants-spinoff to mom attire
I don't own any sweats, and I have a few pair of the 'loose cut' yoga pants...aka tight to the knee and then flare a little. I wear them out a lot. I don't see a problem with them. They're comfortable and they can look really cute with the right top.

Re: Yoga Pants and Sweat Pants-spinoff to mom attire
To me, That article portrayed sweatpants as ratty, paint stained, frumpy, elastic bottom pants. I wear sweats after work and on the weekends and they are not frumpy/dumpy at all. All the "sweats" I wear are Lucky brand, and fit really nice, some have pretty embroidery or intricate detail. I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to wear them in public ever. In fact i get alot of compliments on them.
So no, i don't think these sweats or yoga pants are the same at all

I wear my Vicky's sweats everywhere. They are fitted and some of them don't have elastic on the ankle. I think they look cute!
As for yoga pants, it's basically the same thing as leggings to me.

Re: Yoga Pants and Sweat Pants-spinoff to mom attire
Most days when i work out, i dont change right away and run my errands after
I don't care what people think honestly Most of my workout gear is underarmour and sports bras.
Most times its not easy to run and change after

I know I'm in the minority, but I consider yoga pants and sweat pants pretty much the same thing. I truly don't care what other people wear in public, but I won't wear either style.

Re: Yoga Pants and Sweat Pants-spinoff to mom attire
I have two pairs of black boot cut sweat pants and they don't look frumpy. Maybe they're not technically sweatpants? They're lined w fleece, so I consider them sweats. I wear them around the house or to run out to the market.

I don't consider them the same because they have a very different look. They're both clearly "comfort wear" though, if you're not wearing them for workout purposes.

Re: Yoga Pants and Sweat Pants-spinoff to mom attire
No way...
Sweatpants = loose fitting/ comfy. Generally worn around the house or for those gangsta girls lol worn with timbs and a tank top to go out
yoga pants = tight/ form fitting, sexy. can be worn around the house or out wherever and look good on anyone
