Yikes, did I pay too much for locksmith?
Changed a combo lock (front door) and garage entrance to house. $390  Is that alot or am I just clueless?
Not that I've ever done the locksmith thing before anyway.
DH thought it was silly when we might have been able to do it ourselves- but I doubt it. Neither of us are very handy.

Mine cost 215 that was for new lock, plate to go over the lock and installation fee.

Depends..did you buy the locks yourself and just have them install it or were the locks included in the price?
Locks are expensive! If it was included then you probably did okay.

Me 4. We saw the cost and decided to follow the directions on the box of new doorknobs and dead bolts and we had it all done in about an hour.

ours cost the amount of the new locks DH put them in. IT wasnt bad to follow the directions
