Yet another opk question

Ok ladies I need some help here. Yesterday morning (5:30 am) I took a clear blue advanced digital opk and it was negative. I had the day off the so around 12 (after holding my pee) I took another one and it was a blinking smiley face. DH got home and we were talking about possibly bd but because he was tired and I knew we have a lot of bd to do in the next week or so I wanted to make sure i was actually at high fertility (also i am insane and love to pee on sticks lol) so after holding my pee I tested again and this one showed peak fertility!!! So of course we bd but is it possible to go from not fertile to detecting my serge in like 12/13 hours? It's like zero to 60 lol! I tested again with a Walgreens stick this am (steady smiley stuck on advanced) and it was def. negative. We will def. bd the next two days, skip a day and try again Saturday (deannas plan) but am I crazy or has this happened to anyone before?? also i was only at cd10 which is weird because last month i got a steady smiley around cd15 and the month before around cd14 TIA..... I love having people I can ask because we aren't telling anyone we are ttc :)

Yet another opk question

I haven't started using opk's, this will be the first month. On the box it advises to test in the afternoon or evening and not with fmu. Perhaps, that is why you are getting negatives in the am. hth Chat Icon

Re: Yet another opk question

I really don't like the new blinky ones. They gave me a false peak last month- went from neg to a solid in just a few hours which was obv a fluke and then I really Oed a few days later. So just keep BDing to cover your base. Temping is the only clear way of knowing when you O. Good luck! Chat Icon
