Yesterday's Doc Appt and Growth sono
Growth sono revealed that the babies are about two weeks ahead in growth. Today I'm 34 weeks exactly.
 is 5 lbs 4 oz
 is 4 lbs 13 oz
At that rate, if I go to 38 weeks the tech guestimated they would be in the 7 lb range each so they are definitely measuring big.
The verdict is still out on C-section v. natural.
Last week they were both head down but now is head down and in perfect position and is transverse with his head laying on his sisters' stomach. No wonder why she kicks so much Doc said it's still not a problem, they could still deliver them natually. The practice has a lot of experience in this.
Doc said everything looks great and she was surprised I haven't had any problems so far.
Fluid- very good. This also makes it easier for them to keep moving despite their size so we don't know c-sec or vaginally. It's still undecided.
Cervix- no problems, no dialation
No false labor contractions.
Nothing... which I was told at this point is pretty unusual.
At next week's appt. my main question will be, if there is no progression, but they continue to keep growing at the rate they are, will the docs set a date for induction? or just let them go.
Next growth sono is in two weeks.

Wonderful!!! Sounds like they are doing great!
My DS was also in a Transverse position, laying right across the bottom, with his tushy in the birth canal....
That would be awesome if you could go naturally... but even if you can't, its still awesome!
Their weights are really good at this point!

Sounds great, as long as the first one out is head down you are good to go.
Also they will not gain as much as a singleton since there is not enough room for them to both be 9 lbs.

wow theresa, that sounds good to me!! i've been worried about weights, making it to at least 5 lbs. and you're there!!! i can't believe the babies will be here very soon.

We do have names. We agreed pretty easily on them which surprised me.
We promised each other that we would keep them a surprise until birth so no one knows except us... sorry.
It is getting close. We only have one more thing to do, hang the border in the nursery and eveything else is ready.... car seats, hospital bag, chord blood kits, pediatrician.
DH tells me everyday that he "can't wait"

Great news!! Mine were measuring big too, however, when they came out they were smaller than what the last measurements said 2 weeks earlier. I know we have the same docs so just warning you. I thought mine were going to be big too but they were all strict on not inducing until 38 weeks. I was induced 38 weeks to the day! I couldn't wait to get them out.

I'm hoping the same, regarding the size, happens to me. I hope they are a bit off in the measurements Of course, I want them to be healthy but over 14 lbs of baby... YIKES! And you didn't have a c-section... I bow down to you...lol.
So I guess after week 36, if there is no progress, I might resort to some old-fashioned tactics to try to get them moving

No problem, I just thought maybe I missed it since I don't visit pregnancy much. We picked names, told everyone but didn't know which one would be which until they were born. The first born was to have my father's name as his middle, since my other one was getting my FIL's name.

Don't worry. I'll have someone post asap after they arrive... names and all.
I was wondering, how in the heck do you decide what name to give which identical or same gender twin, especially if you aren't doing a junior? First one out? Do you wait a day and see? The thought crossed my mind before we found out the genders.

That is awesome news. Nothing made me happier during my pregnancy then a healty update from the doctor.
I guess they will be skipping to the size 1 diapers.
