yard sale question
if you've had one recently...
(with money being tight all the way around)
do you have any tips for someone who hasn't had a yardsale in about 10 years?

Re: yard sale question
Label everything (they have those sticker premade at Target or Staples)
Don't expect to get much per item. So don't sell big valuable items there.
Have lots of change (small bills and coins) with you
Have lots of plastic bag (grocery like). People will ask you for one if they have lots of items.

Price it to get RID of it! You don't want it and they do. IMO, making money on selling your unwanteds is just a bonus
Also, put things on tables (not on the ground).

Re: yard sale question
def. put stuff on tables, price things cheap or you'll be stuck with it. have lots of change.
Pretty much what ever anyone wants to offer you for something, take it, its better to have gotten something then to be stuck with it in the end.
Offer free items at the end of the day
lots of signs on busy corners and a free ad on craigslist
price things by the quarter only so you only have to have quarters. made life much easier
