xpost- going to Ireland on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!
leaving fri night for the week- have a wedding in Cork.. for htos ethat have been any suggestions for those that have traveled the south west of Ireland. Were staying in cork on the water but when we first land were renting a car and traveling for a day or two... we havent really made any set plans for these days- suggestions on where to go what to see?

If I remember correctly, the Blarney Stone is in Cork. Also, Kinsale is nearby--a foodie town. Definitely check out Kinsale.

Definitely check out Cork city-there's lots of great shopping (got a pair of knee high boots for 35 EURO!!) and do a trip to Kerry. The tours for the Ring of Kerry are fabulous and the town and nightlife are a lot of fun!

good for you!! We actually were married in Ireland, as DH is from Tipperary. We got married in Clare though because that is where my family is.
Cork is gorgeous!! If you are renting a car definately try and see the ring of kerry, the cliffs of Moher (clare) , waterford, if you go to tipp try and check out the rock of cashel.
