Nope...I don't wake a sleeping baby but I do keep my little guy up as long as possible when he wakes during the day...talking and touching until he knocks out to try to stretch his daytime hours.
I don't think there is much you can do in the beginning to get them on your schedule...it takes time and even when they mature it's a compromise of your scheduld and their demands.

Once Lily was 3 weeks old, we would wake her so she could eat every 3 hours during the day. It really helped her create a schedule and she thrived on that schedule. She was sleeping through the night by 6 weeks, and I think a large part of that was due to the fact that she got plenty of formula during the day.
I know a lot of people disagree with that method though. It worked for us, and if we ever have other children, I'll likely do it the same way again!
I think BFing and FFing are different though. Most BF babies aren't anywhere close to STTN at 6 weeks regardless of whether they're fed on demand or on a schedule. BM is easier to digest so BF babies tend to be hungrier more often, especially as newborns.

IMO wake during the day and do NOT wake at night.
