I think you can always accept the first offer and if the other job comes through you can rescind on the first job. They are not likely to sue you or anything.

I think that's a last resort, honestly, and not something I'd ever be inclined to do. Especially if your industry is a tight knit one, you don't want to create that sort of reputation for yourself.

I think you should tell the other company that you would like a few days to consider the offer and, should it happen to come up at the interview on Monday, say that you have another offer on the table. You got good advice on the other thread from a recruiter, too, who probably knows a LOT more about this than I do!

thanks. I really don't feel comfortable signing an offer letter with the possibility of rescinding. I would be burning a bridge... and it's just not the right thing to do.

I agree..it's a worst case scenario with the offer letter. i also agree that they are being very pushy.

I would tell them you need some time to think it over. There is nothing wrong with not accepting an offer right away.
