Do any of you ladies know where to get a new xbox 360 for less than $399?
DH wants one and every store has it for that same price.

That's the going rate if he wants the one with the hard drive. I think the ones without the hard drive are $299.
I was able to get one with the hard drive at Christmas time at Micro Center for $399 with a $100 mail in rebate. So that worked out well.

there are 3 different verisons out avaiable...chances are you will not find them below regular retail value
$299 (Core) - no HD cables, no harddrive (without harddrive, will not be able to download demo, videos and store music on the xbox)
$399 (preieum) - 20 gig hard drive opposite and best value - comes with HD cables (important if you hooking to HDTV) and hard drive you be able to take advantage of xbox live! (very important to most people)
$479 (elite) - this is a new black edition that comes with an HDMI port which is 1 of the better ways to hook up eqipement to HD. Also features a 120 gig hard drive to store tons of stuff.
most stores right now, you get a free game with the preieum system
The core and preiemum systems are white... hope this helps

Thats cheap, DH paid over $500 when the stupid thing came out. It is now collecting dust with all his other "toys".

Mine did too. But he does play almost every day, so I guess it was money well spent.

DH has the one for $399 and i dont think you can get it cheaper anywhere else. its the same price everywhere you go because its a fixed price created by microsoft.
my DH has the 360, PSP, and Wii and believe it or not, he actually plays them all just about everyday. so its not a complete waste.
you know what i think is a complete waste???? buying a game for $60, beating it, and then trading it in for like $5!

but now DH may have to put his xbox on hold since our tv is broken and we cant afford to get both.
