x-post to ttc - beta rise/fall question

Hi ladies. I am x-posting to ttc, knowing that the women on this board are very knowledgeable about beta numbers (and knowing a number of you IRL, knowing your willingness to help out a fellow LIF'er).

Here is my post

I didn't think it was possible that this could still be a viable pregnancy, but as someone mentioned on my OP, this is a possibility? Does anyone have knowledge about a such a situation?

I would HATE to keep any shred of hope if it's completely unrealistic. At the same time, I'd rather not live life with reckless abandon (I don't mean like smoking crack, I mean like coffee and beer, haha) if I should be waiting it out a little. My dr. did not give me any hope that there was a chance this could be viable.

TIA for your time.

Most likely it is not good news. The thing is, your 1st beta was pretty high which could mean multiples, and it is a possibility that say 1 didn't make it which causes the beta to plateau and then should resume going up. I've been in your place, and waiting is hell. Your mind plays all sorts of tricks on you. Sometimes I just new it was over, but always secretly hoped and prayed. Stay strong! It only took a week for my period to come when my 2nd beta was pretty much the same as 1st.

I was thinking it could have been multiples reducing, too. Not likely, but possible.

I was also thinking lab error. You never know!

You should ask for another beta sooner than later to see which way it's going.

Also, the dr should have put you on progesterone after your first beta. Anything under 10 is usually when you need a supplement.

I know the waiting is hard, but just try to hold out for a few more days until you get more answers.
