I loved the experience of not knowing the first time around. It was fun guessing and when he was born, I loved letting everyone know what gender the baby was.
The second time around was to be practical. If I was having antoher boy I could use that stuff if not I wanted to start moving stuff out of the apartment that I did not need. Plus, my mom was ill and she wanted a girl since she did not have any granddaughters, so I found out for her. Luckily she got better and is able to enjoy her.
If you can experience both, I think it's worth it.

I looooved not knowing both times (even though in my heart I just knew both were little girls). DD2's delivery was a bit crazy so hearing my DH say, "Its another sweet little girl!" wasn't as "eventful" but was still amazing.
If we go for a third I think I may find out. Want to be prepared for 3 GIRLS or for the newness of a little boy!

I didn't find out either time. I have no gender preference whatsoever and wanted to be surprised. The second time my doc even had DH announce the gender (I had a c-section). It was great both times.
