No clue where to post this... Finding lost relatives, etc.

Does anyone know of services that help to locate biological parents/relatives? Adoption was private and arranged through a lawyer in the 1940's. I have names, etc., but they may be deceased since they would be in their 80's.

I will definitely need a service more robust than those Zooba searches, etc. Will pay for it as well.

If anyone has any insight, please FM.

Thanks!

Try people search or google how to find people and maybe another search thing will pop up. GL.

Ancestry.com. If they are deceased you will be able to find their Social Security Death records. I have a paid account, FM me if you need me to search for you.

Would you consider a PI?

I have no idea where I would start to find one... I was sorta hoping that I could find someone who could recommend something or someone reliable.

I have done some searches on the internet... to be honest I have not had the time to dig really deep and this search has sorta fallen on my shoulders, as opposed to other people in my famiy.

Gotcha. I have driven by this place a million times and know they do PI work but I don't know anyone who has used them so I don't know if they are any good.

I second this. We found DH's uncle this way (he passed away). From there you can move on to death certificates for living relatives, next of kin.
