Hot tub post on PG board

ETA: Forget it. I did a little reserach and the info is a little scary. Women who go in hot tubs after ovualtion are 2.7 times more likely to miscarry I guess I will stay away. Now I also read that if men go into a hot tub that thier sperm count can be affected for a long time HUH???? I just told DH no hot tubs and he is a little mad at me.

This is what I found from a Web Md interview session:
"Hot showers should not lower the sperm count. The body temperature does not usually increase with a shower, though it may increase with a sauna or a long hot tub stay. So those are not suggested when you actively TTC. Please remember that it takes sperms 10-11 weeks to be produced, so anything that happens today will affect the count potentially for the next three or so months. "

That's good to know since DH spent a ton of time in the hot tub on our honeymoon less than 4 months ago There was a warning sign with big bold letters warning pregnant women or women who could potentially be pregnant should not use the hot tub.
