we loved it! the beach is a bit small, but it didn't bother us...the food is great! we loved the choices and especially the poolside grill...we went in February and that is the windy season there, so some days it was a little cool in the shade, but other than that it was perfect

I've been there. I thought the resort was really nice. The beach is lovely. Very calm water. You can take a 10 minute cab ride to Sapphhire Beach. It has been one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world. And it definitely is. The only down side is that it was a really long ride from the airport to the resort.

I stayed there with my family back in 1996 or 1997 - it was a very nice resort - we had a great time. St Thomas is a great island - you can take the ferry over to St. John and go to trunk bay for the day or morning if you want.

We looked into there for our HM but after reading some not-so-good reviews on Trip Advisor we decided on the Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriot Resort. From what I've heard the one big difference between the 2 is that there are tons of kids at Sugar Bay, so if you want to avoid that you may want to look elsewhere.
