You have a fb account but barely use it and you have NEVER posted any pics of your kids. Your spouse doesn't even have a fb account at all. At a party someone on your spouse's side of the family (like a distant relative) snaps a pic of your kid and says they will tag you on it on fb. You're not even this person's friend on fb, so obviously can't tag you. What would you do?

Ask them to please not post it and fix your tagging settings. I have it set that no pictures of me tagged can go on my Timeline unless I approve it.

If you're not friends with them, they can't tag you.
Do you have an issue with the picture being on FB? If so ask them not to post it.

I would tell them not to post it. We don't have any pics of DD on FB (or any mention of her whatsoever) and I had to tell DH to ask his friend's wife to take down a pic once (after she posted it without asking). She thought it was weird we wanted it taken down, but too bad. You don't post pics of other people's kids without permission. Not everyone wants their kid plastered all over the internet.

Yeah that was my point, nothing to tag since not friends. Yes, it bothers me.
Just ask them not to post it.
But unfortunately if you aren't fb friends with them you won't know if they honored your request.

Hmmm, I don't think they can tag you if you aren't FB friends, but in any case , I would ask them to please not post pictures of your children.
