WWYD? Decision long sorry
I met this afternoon with my RE . I have to start off by saying I really like him, his practice and trust his opinion. We discussed why my cycle could have failed. One thing he mentioned and he told me to think about it removing my fibroids . I have quite a few small ones and one the size of a baseball. None of them are located in the uterine cavity though.
Pros: Could result in BFP if removed Lighter periods Less cramping
Cons: Could result in BFN if removed not 100% guarantee I need to wait 1 year before ttc again ( I'm 36) Could change the shape of uterus / scar tissue causing complications.
I am so on the fence , he is not 100% that I need it, he explained its an option and only boost my chances of pregnancy from 50% to maybe 60% .
I am just scared that maybe removal is the only way to get pregnant. Like I said in my "bummer" post my eggs were excellent .
Does anyone know of someone in the same boat as me who did the surgery or didn't with fibroids and got pregnant. I feel I need to research this so much before I can make a decision. Please give me your opinions wwyd.

I don't like the idea of having to wait a year to ttc

I don't have experience with fibroid surgery, but if it were me, I'd have a much easier time considering the surgery as an option if I could stim first and freeze a bunch of embryos. Age is age, ya know? But if you have great eggs, it might be worth it to bank some and work on dealing with the fibroids after without the pressure of time.

Wow. This really is something to think about.
I have heard of plenty of people getting pregnant with fibroids. With that said... everyone is different and this could be the cause of your failed cycle.
If I were you, I would probably go with the surgery. At 36 your eggs are still looking good. So another year shouldn't change that much. Would you consider doing an IVF cycle now to Freeze some embryos so that when you had the surgery and everything was healed, you can do an FET? That could be your back up plan if for some reason in 1 years time your egg quality changes that drastically.
I think the pros out way the cons in this whole thing. Fibroids only get worse and cause problems/pain/bleeding.
I don't see why he only gave you an added 10% chance if he feels they are the problem. But I guess they don't ever give you too good of odds with this because you just never know why it's not happening.
What does your DH think?

My DH wants to just be supportive of whatever I decide to do ugh I wish he was more opinionated but that's not his nature. Lol . I should ask about stimming then freezing just incase, I too have heard of plenty of pregnancies with fibroids. I should probably try to find a specialist that deals with fibroids to get more info

Sounds like my DH. That's so annoying lol
Good idea finding someone who specializes in fibroids. Collect all info you can.

I have fibroids and got pregnant. If yours aren't in your uterus, why would that affect you getting pg?

I had fibroids removed from the exterior of my uterus - they were penduculated and my obgyn told me to try after 2 months. Not 1 year. Who is your RE?
