WWYD Christmas Card Issues

So I took DD for Chrsitmas pics. The people there were GREAT with her, got great smiles, everything was awesome until I go to review the pics and notice that in 95% of them the background looks like total crap. There is a fake wood trim that is uneven, crumpled and wrinkled. I didn't think it was going to show in the pics since the photog had no issues with shooting it, but turns out it's RIGHT THERE (and driving me nuts) in almost every pic.

So I did a reshoot. This time DD (8 mo) was totally stone-faced, only gave a smile for one pic BUT the background looks awesome. I will say although DD wasn't smiling she does look really cute in the pics, but of course I wanted smiles.

Now my mom is telling me to go to a 3rd studio today to try to get better pics with her smiling. I really don't want to, but part of me really wants nice Christmas pics since this is her 1st Christmas. I'm also planning to use these pics for Christmas cards. I haven't paid for anything. WWYD?

I know in most pictures I never really look at the background...I usually look at the pictures of the cute kid....can we see a sample of what you are talking about, so I can tell you if I see what you see?
