WWYD?
I just got home and as I turned down my street, I noticed one of the home's flood lights (3 that I could see) were blinking, but not erratically...you know when a silent alarm sounds somewhere, well, it kind of looked like that. I rolled down my window to see if I could hear anything like alarm, but nothing.
I don't know the family who lives there, but I do know they have 2 young children.
I didn't want to stop b/c I had my DD with me. I'd send my DH down to check it out, but he's not home at the moment.
Would you call the police to see if they could look into it...whether it's due to an alarm or a short somewhere in the house?
Or should I see if I can find their phone number and call the house myself?

Re: WWYD?
Can you see down the street? Do you have any neighbors that are friends with them that can call?
I would certainly feel awkward calling the police, but I would feel worse if there were really something wrong.

Re: WWYD?
I would call the police and see if they could call (probably have easier access to getting a name and or number) If for no other reason that piece of mind. If people do need help there you could literally be a life saver.

Re: WWYD?
Definitely call. The best thing that could happen is there's nothing wrong.

Re: WWYD?
Definitley call. It's the right thing to do, even if it's just nothing.

Re: WWYD?
I'd call the police and ask them to check it out. Tell them of your concerns, better safe than sorry. I hope everything is ok, please let us know the outcome.

Re: WWYD?
DD was still up, so I drove by again and the lights were no longer blinking/flashing.
There was a car behind me that pulled into a home closer to the house with the blinking lights. Maybe they called the homeowners?
ETA: BTW, thanks for the advice guys!!!
