WW peeps- could use your help, Please
Wk 5 ish, last wk was a bust with being VERY sick and not eating at all. I lost 4.2pds but I know that I will gain at least some back once I started eating again.
With that, Im now at 18pt a day ( I was 19 before). I want to make better choices and not be so repetitous on my meals.
Since Im still new to this, any suggetions on meals and snacks would be SO great and helpful!
TIA

Hey Deb,
Sorry you were so sick last week Hopefully with sticking to the plan you won't gain *too* much of it back.
Not having a lot of points to play with is tough, but just remember once you get to goal weight you will add some points back in as part of maintenance.
What I find works best for me is to have as many low point yet filling items as possible in my day. You want to eat as much veggies and fruit as possible to fill things in.
For example, lately for breakfast I have no more than 2 or 3 pt breakfasts - for example...
-3 egg whites with 1 slice of ezekial bread = 2pts, very satisfying -Special K protein plus cereal plus 2/3 cups of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze = only 1.5 pts!! (I also like Kashi go lean cereal which is 1.5 pts for 3/4 of a cup so that ends up being 2 pts)
Snacks are almost always fruit or veggies. I also try to have at least one salad a day with chicken or some other protein (ends up being 4 pts for the whole thing). Low point dressings I have been using lately...
Marie's Light Bleu Cheese Dressing - 1 pt for 2 Tbsp Cardini's Light Vinagrette - 1 pt for Tbsp
For dinner I usually have some sort of grilled meat with either 1/2 cup of whole wheat couscous (2 pts), 1/2 cup of brown rice (2 pts) or 1/2 cup of quinoa and some veggies. I also love corn in the summer (only 2 pts for a large piece).
Snacks (treats) 94% fat free popcorn or better yet air popped popcorn sugar free fat free pudding Lately I've been loving smoothies from Tropical Smoothie Cafe (they have a couple that are 2 or 3 points if you ask them to make it with splenda)
HTH!

I'm sorry I don't really use ww recipes I tend to eat a lot of same things though so I will post some ideas if that will help
Breakfasts Instant oatmeal packets - 2-3 pts/cup Special K Cereal (protein plus) - 1 pt/cup Egg/white omlettes Egg white sammies - 2.5 pts total -2 egg whites .5 pts -1 stop and shop light bagel (only 1 pt!) -2% fat free cheese (I like it better than fat free and it is 1 pt just like the ff)
Lunch is usually leftovers for me - if you are on the go some great options are: Subway Taco Bell (fresco menu) Au Bon Pain (usually has some sort of low-point soup) Panera has some great low point options also Big salad full of veggies, grilled chicken and a light dressing (I love Ken's Light Northern Italian Dressing - 1 pt for 2 Tbsp) Pizza - 6pts (I usually get it loaded with veggies)
Dinners (main) Chicken Burgers (I call them Bollywood Burgers)! - I make them with indian spices (curry, cumin, garam masala, crushed garlic, shredded onion, sea salt and fresh ground pepper) - 5 pts can be less if you find ground chicken breast or make them smaller
BBQ Chicken thighs - YUM! 3 pts each
London Broil 4 or 5 pts for 3 oz
I make my own bolognese sauce with 93% lean or better beef, plain tomato sauce, some tomato paste and my own seasonings (pts depend on serving) - I have this on top of whole wheat pasta
Chicken breast (grilled, breaded and baked, roasted)
Chicken sausages from trader joes - sooooooooooooo good they have all different kinds
Boars head light hot dogs - 2 pts
Sides Whole wheat pasta - 4pts/cup Whole wheat couscous - 4 pts/cup Brown basmati rice - 4pts/cup Black beans or Bean salad Corn on the cob - 2pts for a large Green Beans/Mixed frozen veggies Baked Potato - 1 large = 3 pts Homemade Fries or sweet potato fries (cut, sprinkled with olive oil, seasoned with salt and pepper and baked) - pts depends on serving size If you want a shortcut you can buy frozen fries and it is 2 pts/serving Soycutash from TJ (soy beans, corn and pepper mix) - 1 pt for 2/3 cup
Other misc items Stop and shop light hot dog/hamburger buns - 1 pt each
Snacks 94% fat free popcorn minibags Frozen fruit bars (1 or 2 pts depending on) Pretzels - 2 pts per serving Pickles - 0 pts Fat free sugar free pudding Babybel light cheese - 1 pt
