WTF... Honest opinions
So we have been trying for about three years to get pregnant.
In early 2012, I saw an OB recommended by a friend bc he does a lot of fertility work. I knew going into it I had PCOS. We did the whole gamut - HSG, hysteroscopy, SA, all sorts of blood work.
I go on 50 mg clomid, with prog suppositories. Get pregnant second month, in July, with twins. Not a healthy pregnancy, termination in Mid September.
There was a lot of drama during the pregnancy, I sought a second opinion from Kofinas, who I love.
Due to drama w Dr. 1, decide I can't deal with him any more. Our house got major damage during hurricane so we are displaced and in a rental and I could not contemplate trying again.
Waited a bit, started trying in mid November w clearance. Kofinas says I have thrompopholia factors, on top of my luteal phase defect and PCOS. I do 100 mg clomid, ovidrel, progesterone, lovenox, etc. no pregnancy. Month two, we up dosage to 150 mg clomid. No pregnancy.
We are in month 3. Did 150 mg clomid again. Every month only one follie, despite high dosage. I did an IUI this month, after ovulation was confirmed. Period was due Friday. I had blood drawn Friday. No HCG, but my estradiol was 116 and prog was 60. They said those were good signs and it could go either wall. Had blood drawn Monday, no HCG. They told me to stop taking lovenox and prog and wait for my period. They said prog could be holding my period back. Prog has never stopped it before, and I have been on the same dosage for a while.
I am five days late. I used some wondfos, they are impossible for me to read, some look positive, some look negative. I have a Wondfo pic posted in tn TTC board.
My IUI was two weeks ago today.
What do you think is going on with me? Any chance of pregnancy? Where the F is my period so K can just move along. Despite PCOS, I have been very regular the last two years.
Also, any thoughts about what I could ask for to change my protocol, for greater chances of success next month?
Thank you for reading this long, rambling post.

How many positives have you gotten? I hav never had a problem with those tests, but if you think they are defective in any way, I would go out and get the most sensitive test you can buy at the drug store. i always used dollar store tests, and I swear by them, they take very little hormone to show positive, but I think first response is a low hormone test as well

It's possible to have a late implanter where the beta shows up negative and then turns positive after the fact. However, for the HCG to be high enough to stop your period, it should be coming up positive on HPTs. So I'm at a bit of a loss. I agree with PP about getting a good HPT and seeing how it comes out, but ultimately I think you need to go back to the doctor and get more bloods done to see what's going on.
