Write up about Little Einsteins...
These ARE great DVDs for little ones, except for the stereotypical portrayal of race and gender. White boy=leader and problem-solver, Af-Am boy=funny musician, Asian girl=graceful dancer, White girl=sweet sidekick. I don't think I'm particularly sensitive to this issue, but it strikes me in MANY children's videos, and this one is no exception
I never looked at them this way. makes me think differently about them

I don't know. I have watched it quite a few times with DD and didn't see any issues. I thought it was a cute show that introduces all different subjects (art, music, science).
I think its just another excuse to cause drama.
Where was this write up from? A magazine?

DS loves this show and I'm sure at his age he doesn't even notice any of the stereotypes. By the time he knows better, he won't be interested in it anymore.

I agree! People try to pick apart everything. Let it be a cute kids learning adventure like it's supposed to be!
Next, there will be an issue with the power phrase "pat, pat, pat". Is that a reference to trans-gender people? Come on now!
