WR - Phyllis at Bridal Elegance
Anyone ever use her? My friend ordered her BM dresses from her months ago and they're still not in! her wedding is in less than a month! they admitted that they dropped the ball and forgot to order them when she left her $ and now they're not returning her calls! W T F??? she's distraught over this and i feel terrible! no one deserves this kind of stress.
anyone have any feedback on them? i thought i saw rave reviews on her on LIW, i guess her service leaves something to be desired! i feel just terrible for her!

I used her for my bm dresses , alterations and my own alterations
she was fabulous for us
ur friend needs to go there in person and get on top of it.. she's a great lady but very overwhelmed now that she's gotten "big"
im sorry for your friend but tell her to get her tush down there and get answers

Hey girls,
I am the friend Em is talking about.. and ihave gone down there twice. i dunno wha else to do. everytime i go i am assured theya re coming and that by the next day i willhave a tracking numbr and still nothing. i havebeen calling and trying to get to the bottom of things for a month now and im getting very very very upset. what can i do? i yell and scream and rant and still no dresses i have 8 bridesmaid so its not like i can just walk into a store and take 2 off the rack.
im so upset im gonna throw up.

Don't get yourself sick over it. Believe me i know how stressfule it is. i would go there and demand the phone number to the place that is actually making the dresses. I wouldn't leave the store without answers. I would make a huge stink. You have plenty of other things to worry about than your bridesmaids dresses not coming in so i would definately not leave the store without answers. I am sure everything will work out.

I used her, as did my BM's and we had no problem. I also know several people that have used her and had no problems. I am sorry for your friend....she definitely doesn't need this stress so close to her wedding.

Please don't get your self sick over this - though I know it's easier said than done. We had a similar problem (but with a different bridal store) with my SIL's wedding this past summer. The dresses came in literally 1 1/2 weeks before the wedding and we were all fitted the weekend before. And everything worked out! They offered to do the alterations that day. As stressful as it seems, the dresses will get here and the girls will look great!

She sux.
My LIW reveiw was NOT glowing.
The same EXACT thing happened to me, but it wa sonly for my sister's (MoH) dress.
Keep hassling her. I bet they WILL come in, no problem, but just in case- I would call around, and see how quickly you could get them in from somewhere else.
If it does get to the point that you need ot reselect, I beleive David's Bridal has a huge selection of dresses you buy off the rack.
Sorry you are stressed- that woman sux asss.

I have heard rave reviews about her. I ordered my flower girl dresses from there, but had them altered somewhere else.
I didn't have any problems with them, but I didn't get wonderful service either.
I think they are average.

I don't have any experience with Phyllis or any advice other than what everyone here already posted. You might FM HelenZ at LIW - I know she used Phyllis. She may have some suggestions on dealing with her? (I think Helen had a good experience with her, but Helen is level-headed and usually has good ideas about this sort of stuff!)
I just wnted to offer 
I'm a newlywed, and I know those 2 months before the wedding are stressful enough without something like this adding to it all.

I had an excellent experience with Phyllis. She did alterations on my wedding dress, which was purchased elsewhere, she was altering it until the day before the wedding due to the fact that I was 4 months pregnant.
She also made me a bolero jacket for over my dress.
I know lots of people that have used her for alterations with no problems.
I have never actually ordered a dress from her though.

Call the manufacturer. Something similiar happened to me for my wedding back in 2003 with another store and once I got the manufacturer involved I got my bm dresses. Not sure who the manufacturer of your bm is but I used Wattters & Watters and they were very responsive to the problem.

Get yourself to another store NOW and pay the premium to rush order the dresses you want. The same exact thing (promise of a tracking number etc) happened to a friend and two weeks before her wedding she was on the phone with the manufacturer to get the dresses she wanted. It took a LOT of legal letter writing to get Phyllis to issue a full refund.

I have Phyllis on tape ( my voicemail) stating that they screwe up and ordered the dresses 3 weeks late. that si automatically putting her in Breach of contract. that ****** has no choice otherwise my lawyer will be so far up her @ss she will choke on him.

Girl.. this chick has not seen m mad!!! all i know is that if my dresses are not here tomorrow as promised... well.. we will have BIG issues. I am the 2 extremes..either really nice or reall y NOT nice.

That's what I was thinking! I know SweetCin went there in person and made a fuss numerous times and finally resorted to going to an outside source who expressed ordered them for her and her bridal party.
I used her, but only for alterations.

you would be surprised how willing they would be to help you- my friend Jackie had a really bad situation with anothe rbridal shop (MrsPorkchops sister- so some of you know the story already) and the manufacture got her the dress with in the week
then I would come up with a back up plan- just to make myself feel better- either have everyone were a black dress- or look at the Jcrew Catalog and have everyone order something
but please don't get sick over this- at the end of the day- no one is going to notice the bridemaids dresses- you wedding will still be amazing- and most importantly- you will be married
I think most of us can relate to the fact that we spent alot of time worrying about all these little things- and in the end- the outcome was the same! don't stress!
