Wow! Some people....
We had our baby shower a week and a half ago. It was wonderful and a surprise. I enjoyed seeing friends and family together.
Fastforward to now.... One of DHs coworkers wants us to give her back a diaper genie because she laid out the money for another woman who didn't pay her back. Now I have to bring it to her so she can return it. This is even after I offered to just give her the money.
Some people have no class.

tacky to say the least. honestly, i would not bother returning it to her - i would write her a check for the full amount of the cost + tax (her share too) and be done with her. just put the check in a card and tell her it's unpackaged and here is her money.

That is the ballsiest thing I've ever heard. It's not your problem she wasn't given the money! She should take it up with that person, not you! I wouldn't give it back. LOL

that's ridiculous. i would bring in the money and give it to her, and tell her if she would rather the item itself, she is welcome to come pick it up, but it's too hard for me to bring in. insane.

wait - so I am trying to understand.
a person who went to your shower picked up a gift for someone else and that person has not repayed the guest who purchased the gift so they are asking for it back so it can be returned?
wow. balls!
ETA - if it were me. I would say no. here is the cash and thats it.

ITA with all of this! I cannot believe someone would even THINK to do this! Tell her you're _ months pregnant, so NO, you won't be lugging the GIFT she gave you back so she can return it. I can't believe I'm even typing that out! 
This is a joint gift, right? So are you not getting a gift from these people at all? Maybe you should ask them to reimburse you for their plate cost at the shower, since we're making sure everything is "fair".
