Would you leave bad feedback?
I purchased a few headbands from three different venders on etsy. I explained to all of the venders that I needed them for my niece's newborn photos, which are happening tomorrow morning. They all assured me they would go right out and I would have them on time. I got a package from one of the vendors two days later. But I don't know what to do about the other two venders... One of the others created the shipping label on Friday, but didn't actually process it until Monday. It shows it left their state at 3:11am on Tuesday and there has been no further tracking updates. I'm assuming it's lost, at least for the moment. I'm sure it will probably surface at some point, but clearly I'm not going to be able to use these headbands for their original purpose. I will probably leave no feedback at all, but am I entitled to a refund? I get that it's not her fault, but these headbands are now useless to me. The other vender has completely flaked. I contacted her Monday asking why the headband hadn't even shipped yet. She told me that it had, but her mom had been in the hospital so she never updated the tracking info on etsy. Bottom line, it still shows as "not shipped" and I obviously don't have it. I plan on asking her for a refund, but I'm very tempted to leave a bad feedback because I feel like she lied. I'm super annoyed about this because there are lots of headband venders. I could have easily used someone else if she was even vaguely concerned that she wouldn't get it to me on time. I even ordered a couple of hats on Monday and got them on Wednesday, so I can't see why these headbands didn't get to me when I ordered them over a week ago.
Update- I checked the tracking again this morning and it was actually checked in at my local post office. I called them first thing in the morning and asked them to put it aside and I went in to pick it up. It wasn't ideal, but at least I had them for the pictures. I will leave her a positive feedback, since it really wasn't her fault it was MIA for a few days. I wrote the other seller and asked fir a refund. She wrote back and said age would refund me. She did not say to keep the headband when it comes nor did sge ask me to send it back, which only confirms that she never even sent it. I think I will leave a negative feedback saying that the seller never mailed the item, but at least she didn't give me a problem to refund my money.

Re: Would you leave bad feedback?
I would.
If you're going to run a business and take people's money then I expect professionalism and good service. They didn't get your items to you as promised and aren't really handling the situation well therefore, I would leave negative feedback. It gives the next customer a heads up and hopefully it's a small wake up call for the vendor.
I think in this day and age of social media you need to make the extra effort to provide good service because it only takes seconds for someone to spread the word your business sucks.

This. I feel even moreso for sites like Etsy because those vendors are a dime a dozen.
I ordered an item from there for a student and told the girl I had a deadline too.
I had the item within 2 days so I defintiely will use her again.

Would you leave bad feedback?
I would and do. If you give them a deadline and they agree then they fell through on their promise as a vendor.

This. State the facts.
You ordered it on x date & was told it would arrive by Y date. It arrived on Z date. When you contacted the vendor she stated she had a family crisis that arrived that prevented her from delivering the order on time.

Re: Would you leave bad feedback?
I have actually stopped ordering from etsy unless it's a highly regarded vendor who takes their business seriously. Way too many hobbyist who do it "when they have time" for a few extra bucks that screw up orders left/right.
I would send them a message and inform them that you had a guarantee and that it wasn't met. They might reimburse to negate having negative feedback or they will do nothing and then leave the negative feedback.

Re: Would you leave bad feedback?
I'd absolutely leave negative feedback for the last seller - the one that is not communicating.
The other seller, I'm not sure. Once the package is passed off to the US mail, it's pretty much out of the seller's hands. However, with that being said, I'd still contact her and ask for some restitution since she promised delivery. See what she offers and then see if you feel the same way. If she offers you a full refund you might feel differently about the feedback. If she offers you nothing, I'd definitely leave negative feedback.
I buy from etsy a lot and have been in a similar situation a few times.

Re: Would you leave bad feedback?
I'd try and get the refund first, and if they don't comply I'd leave the poor feedback.

this- I think I'd give them a chance to correct the bad service. If they do, then no need to leave bad feedback. I sell often on ebay and the dang post office often kills my business, but always try and do right by my customers to make up for it.

Re: Would you leave bad feedback?
Sure would.
As a customer (frequent etsy customer), I really value honest feedback from other buyers.

Would you leave bad feedback?
Definitely. I'm sure that if you explain yourself clearly in your feedback, they shouldn't even argue with you. You're 10000% right
