Re: would you feel comfortable going....

When I was 38 weeks pregnant, I could hardly walk around the mall. I was carrying low and had so much pressure. The last two weeks are not fun. So I don't think you will be up to walking around a festival.

I wasn't allowed to travel more then 2 hours at 37 weeks.. You are considered full term and most OB's don't like you to go to far from home..

No way. I'm 36 weeks now and I am barely comfortable in the car for half an hour. And besides physically, I wouldn't want to be that far away from my doctor/hospital. Due dates are give or take 2 weeks.

I would not go either. I am 37.5 weeks now and I likle to know I will be close to home just in case our little one decides to make an early appearance. If you go into labor and hit traffic there's no telling how long it could take you to get back. You will also most likely be very uncomfortable.

Why dont you ask your Dr? Maybe he'll say yes if you feel that you are up to it.Chat Icon

I always thought "40 weeks". I worked up until the last minute and thought nothing of it. My water broke at 39 weeks. Knowing what I now know, No Way!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: would you feel comfortable going....

I am obsessed with the fall! So yes, I would go. Well, as long as things are quiet.
Do you mind telling me when and where this is?
You and DH may have a wonderful time!

I LOVE the fall too! I want to make the best of it with my two other children before I have this lil one. It's the quiet valley harvest festival. Oct 8th and 9th.

I don't think I'd be comfy in the car that long... I don't even like sitting for an hour or so in the car at 24 weeks. But if you don't mind the car and have been comfy then I'd say go for it... Just remember you might not make it back to your hospital in time if baby wants to come out and play!!

but I think the more important question is would you feel comfortable giving birth in a different hospital. If you are OK with that and feel up to walking around - why not!

Re: would you feel comfortable going....

I don't think I would unless you were carry and feeling ok. I wouldn't make it an official trip until last minute.
