Would you ever date a famous singer?
Would you be able to deal w/ the groupies and traveling? I was watching a Chris Daughtrey video and wondering how his wife felt about the life change. I don't think i would be able to. Even w/ all the $$$$.
ETA...especially if he was EXTRA hot! I'm very needy when it comes to time together. That's more important to me than $$$.
Well, maybe if I had the $ and saw how it was, I could change my mind.  Hmmmm...

That's what I heard - I thought they went public about it.
Yeah, I often think about that when Chris D. comes on TV - I'm like wow I wonder how it has to make his wife feel sometimes, ya know?

I remember hearing that at one point years ago. Whatever the case, I guess if the marriage is strong enough you make it work.

I would. It all depends on the man if he is going to cheat he will do it regardless of what he does for a living. The temptation and ease may be easier if your a rockstar but lots of famous singers/bandmembers have had successful relationships. Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones has been married for over 40 years when the band lived in the Playboy Mansion he usedto turn playmates down and spend the night playing pinball in the mansion game room. Bono has been married for over 25 years so being a scumbag does not go hand in hand with your occupation.

I think it disrupts the balance of power to some degree. I would hate knowing that if my husband and I argue about something there will be 1000 gorgeous young women waiting to take my place and put up with any kind of bullsh*t just for the opportunity to say they slept with him.

I'm sure the groupies would get on my nerves .
That being said my DH does sing and play. He has recorded 3 CD's but doesn't play out as much as he used to.
He's my rock star w/o the annoying groupies , tours that go on for months and months... oh, and yeah... w/o the jet, houses on both coasts and $$$$

I once dated someone in the public eye. Not a signer but anyway it is weird. We were only dating casually so it did not really bother me except when one of his colleagues had told me that he was talking about me to some people in a bar in Philly. I don't know why but that kind of creeped me out.
Also I know someone who is the NY hookup for a VERY famous rock singer & he has one in every city he goes to.

Also I am not sure if this counts, but Ozzy at one point had so many groupies that Sharon got POed & slept with Randy Rhodes, his guitarist. AND she was on tour WITH him, Just a strange existence if you ask me.

I don't think I'd ever want to date anyone famous. Not necessarily because of the groupies but because I think it takes a certain type of attention seeking personality that I would have a hard time dealing with.
