Would you do a pinata in the snow?

We got a piñata for DS's party tomorrow. I still have not bought the candy for the piñata yet. DH does not want to do the piñata inside the house.

We live in the DC area so it is slightly warmer than NY. We still have snow everywhere. Was originally planning to hang piñata on our basketball hoop in our driveway. Planned this back when we were having 60-70s weather two weeks ago. I wanted to have an outdoor party. Obviously not happening.

I was planning to just skip but my DS really wants to the piñata.

No I wouldn't but I would do it in the house but I wouldn't let them hit it. I would just let them pull the strings.

I don't even know where we would hang it inside the house.

This is what we did for DD's birthday. DH held it up and the kids pulled the strings. It was still a lot of fun.

I would personally just do it inside and have someone hold it - depending on the age of the kids.

If you have/want to do it outside, maybe you could put a tarp or something underneath so the candy didn't fall in the snow.

Do you have a garage? If so, you could put a tarp on the ground and do it in there. We did that one time.

I would not do a pinata in the snow. I did one for my dd birthday last year in my living room- I bought a large command hook and hung it from the ceiling- it was a lot of fun--the kids and grown ups all loved it.

Yes, we have a garage. This could actually work!

We have a tight timeline for a 3-5pm party. A few of our family friends will probably stay after to hang out. I think we will do it then. Thanks.

I would hang it from the end of the broom stick while someone holds it. INSIDE! Or in your garage

This! We did this one year for a Halloween party and made the garage a "haunted" type room with a black light and a strobe light with the piñata in the middle.

The kids loved it.
