But I thought most people would do it, esp b/c a lot are older with grown kids.
since i fit in this category, kind of.... the kids in my house are 15 and 16... i would do it in a heartbeat

I can, but I don't. I like my nine to five now, it allows me to get errands and make dinner when I get home.

Hell yeah! I did that at my last job when I worked f/t, but I did it year round and was off on wednesdays. it was perfect!
ETA: I did my extra hours 1.5 early before normal start time and only stayed 1/2 hour later than normal... or took a shorter lunch. So I was not there too late.

I WISH!!!! Having that option would be amazing!! I would take every Friday off to so I ccan have a 3 day weekend. I always said companies should always provide this option.

Without question!! When I lived in PA, I had a schedule like this...there is nothing like 3 days a week off!!!! That extra 2 hours a day meant nothing compared to the extra day off!!
It would be more challenging now with DD, but I still think it would be worth it to have a day home with her!!
