Would you be upset if...
a) your DH applied for a credit card without discussing it/telling you/ talking about it - with you first?
b) he put down his parents address (where he lived before you got married) as his secondary address?

You should have a
C) Give your Inlaws an extra key to your house.
DH did this and I didn't feel comfortable with it and while we were away, behind my back (not intentionally), but it was behind my back and asked his mom to go into the Apartment to make sure everything is okay. I was LIVID!! PIssed!!! He didn't think it was a big deal but I am such a private person that I do not like anyone snooping in my house.

Now? After your married? How long have you been married?
I think I would be realllly ticked off.
Although, I just opened up a savings account without telling DH because I want to save money and surprise him with a trip..perhaps it could be that?

Oh - well yeah i guess i could have written that option down because it already happened to me!! When we went on our honeymoon - dear husband - and i use that in the most sarcastic sense - left our house keys to his sister you then proceeded to set up my bedroom and kitchen the way she pleased.
ETA: DH didnt think it was a big deal either - but i am a private person also - and it is my first apartment since i lived with m y parents my whole life - so it was very invasive to me.

He did this this week - i just happened to grab the mail to mail it and went to seal the envelope because he never does and saw it. We have been married about 5 months. And knowing him - he would never charge anything on a credit card. It ticks me off because this is the second card that he has opened since we have been married AND he already has 2 other credit cards.

I'm ok with him opening a new card if he needed but the address thing is wierd.
The key thing, I gave my mom a key to our house but she lives in NC and we live in Florida and I don't really know why I did it but most likely she will fly into town when I am in L&D and Dh will probably be with me so atleast she can access the house and she isn't a snoop so it wasen't a big deal.

What's the secondary address? He listed yours as primary, theirs as secondary? If I had to give two I would give my mom's as the second. And I've applied for 2 credit cards in my name only since I have been married (before I only had debits, but since getting married and getting our mortgage I was now able to get credit cards). We keep most of our money separate, so I don't see how it is any of DH's business if I get a new one. I did tell him, just because I brought it up in conversation, but I don't think he would have any right to tell me no.

I would definitely be upset if DH opened a credit card without telling me. Especially since we're planning on applying for morgage/loans soon and that can affect your credit history. I feel, if you have a joint account, all issues involving money should be discussed beforehand.

I'm in the minority - I don't think it's such a big deal. DH and I have both opened credit cards while married with zero interest, to transfer other things to the card (i.e. car loan, student loans), with the intent to pay them off by the end of the zero interest period. Just the other day DH handed me a card application that came in the mail and told me to apply for it and transfer my 6.5% loan to the card and pay it off in 12 months. It doesn't sound as if your DH is hiding from you - after all, he did give the mail to you to send out and you could see who it was addressed to...
