Would you be ok with your DH going to Mexico in a month
DH is best man in a wedding in Mexico and will leave in three weeks.
Would you be ok with him going with everything going on right now?
I think I'm going to see what's going on a week from now and if it hasn't gotten under control there is no way in he!! that he is going.
Am I wrong?

I think it's smart to take a wait and see approach on this. Would I be OK with him going NOW- probably not. 3 weeks from now? Who knows.

I would take this decision day by day or week by week ~ everyday it seems to be different ~ right now they are not stopping the access in & out of mexico but who knows what 3 weeks may bring....

no
between the drug trafficker war and the swine flu, there are few places I would consider to be a worse destination at this point.
There are US travel warnings advising to NOT go there for these reasons.... (there is also enhanced screening of people coming off of planes from mexico... I think they may quarantine a person who is sick 
one thing is for certain, neither of these complex problems could ever significantly improve in merely 3 weeks.... 9 months maybe...

So many people are cancelling vacations to Mexico. I would say NO!
I wouldn't be surprised if the trip was cancelled too

I have friends going on there honeymoon soon to Mexico. I don't think it is safe to go at all. If I had a trip planned I would switch it to somewhere else. That is a tuff one for your DH though, since he is in a wedding party. I would not be okay with him going.

Well I would wait and see what happens. Right now I heard on tonight's news that they are recomennding no unneccesary travel to Mexico but 3 weeks is a bit of a long time.
I think I would wanr him to be EXTRA careful with washing his hand every 5 minutes and maybe even wearing a mask in the airport if it were me ....thats what I saw on the news tonight.
eta- I just read on an article online that if they raise the the threat level, then he might not be able to go they wll not allow any leisure travel to mexico.

I would say give it a little more time. Hopefully the bride & groom realize they are going to have an awfully small wedding if the news doesn't turn around quickly.
My goddaughter was supposed to go to Cancun for spring break, and her TA called today with other options for them. Supposedly getting into Mexico isn't the problem, it's getting out. She said anyone showing even one symptom risks getting quarantined down there.
