So just curious would you spend New Years away from DH? We have been trying to get away since thanksgiving but this is a very expensive time to travel. My parents are going to our vacation House in Puerto Rico and wanted us to go.. They will pay for DS ticket... I have looked for inexpensive flights but they all are returning after New Years and DH has to go to work on 1/4 me on the other not so much...
So shoukd I pack the kid up and head to PR? DH said go ahead ..but I don't know if I shoukd ya know? I'm really looking for some sunny weather

Whatever you're comfortable doing is the right answer. DH and I don't travel without each other so if it were me, I wouldn't go. BUT plenty of couples travel separately and if that is something you're okay with then you should go and have fun! There is no one right answer, it's whatever works for you.

New Years Eve is a big deal to my inlaws so I wouldn't. In your case, if its not a big deal to you and DH, then I would go.
