would u give a bottle now if u never have before?
So ds is now in his crib yea!!!! Most of the times he goes down pretty easy around 9 or 10 pm. On average he wakes up and cries a couple times but can self soothe. But omg he stands right up around 4 or 5 am wailing every morning. I let him cry for about 30 minutes abd then check on him if he is still hysterical. I don't know what the right thing to do is. Hold him and try to rock him back to sleep? A small bottle? (Never fed during night since maybe 4 months old). Or let him scream for a couple hours? I don't know how cio works in the middle of the night. He could be hungry bc its 7 hours since last bottle but I hear of soooo many babies ds's age sttn for 10ish hours with no feedings. Any suggestions? Ps he gets a full 8 oz before bedtime. Tia!!!

I would not start giving him a bottle at that hour, he will get used to it even if he doesn't need it. He *should* be more than fine to sleep 10-12 hours without eating at this point.
How long has this been going on? I'm inclined to say if he's screaming for that long something is up - but I never did CIO (not because I was against it, I was blessed with a good sleeper). Maybe someone else can chime in on that part.

Congrats on getting him into the crib!
Do you have blackout shades in his room? Could there be a noise waking him at that time?

I would. My DS did that for a month or so. If DS cried more than a few minutes I treated it as a night time feeding and would get an extra 2-3 hrs of sleep. Now he just wakes and fusses a bit and falls back to sleep.

How old is your DS? I think he's still pretty young right? I would give him a bottle. He may be growing through a growth spurt and need the milk. When they are little no one can tell you with certainty that they aren't hungry so I'd rather err on the side of caution.

You didn't mention the age. We just learned recently my twins are waking up because the wood floor squeaks near the bedroom. When my hus band gets up in the am, they hear it. We are trying to change his routine abit to keep them sleeping longer. Could it be anything like that for your guy?

From 8.5 to about 11 months DS was waking up almost every night between 3-5am and drinking anywhere between 6-8oz. Then, like a light switch when I started to transition him to milk and off of the bottles to straw cups for milk (he was already using them for water) he stopped waking up. It was definitely a growth spurt because in those couple of months he gained almost 5 pounds amd grew about 3 inches!!!!

I would give him a bottle. My older dc woke up every night around 4 am for milk. He was so hungry and then would go back to sleep. This went on until he was over a year old? It's probably a growth spurt
