Someone at work just asked me if i'm having twins (i'm 35.5 weeks)....?

I haven't gained an enormous amount of weight either.....about average....27lbs. JEEZ!!!!!!!!

Now i feel enormous....plus i'm overly sensitive.

Probably a little, but i've shrugged it off, even at 15 weeks when people say it to me, "Are there twins in there?"

I think people have diarreah of the mouth and don't realize what they are saying. I think people also say it to pg mommies to see their reaction, I really do.

Honestly i wouldn't be insulted, only because i know how stupid people can be!!!

I have gotten that a few times, too. Its to the point where I try to beat them to it, if I see they look shocked when I tell them I am only 27 weeks, so I interrupt and say" Yes only 27 weeks and there is only one in there."

I'd be a little insulted. I'm sensitive too and I've gained 40 lbs, so I know I'm huge!

People are such dumb jerks!! They should really keep their mouths shut!

Hells to the yeah. People are so friggen rude sometimes.

I would try to shrug it off though. People tend to go into stupidity mode when talking to pregnant women.

I gained 60lbs with my 1st, and I would purposely beep when I backed up.

Needless to say, I wouldn't be insulted about the size comments. It's part of being pregnant. Some people just don't know how to judge how big a person should get, and it shouldn't be my problem to figure if they think I'm fat, or enormous, or whatever because I wouldn't care.

People say to me all of the time "Are you sure its not twins???"

I've had that comment already and I'm 28 weeks. I ignore it or try to joke back with it by saying "Actually, they are estimating triplets now".

People get huge during pregnancy and although we don't need to be reminded of it ignorant people feel the need to anyway.

i hear this ALL the time..every word out of people's mouths to me are, oh wow, you are huge, you sure you arent having twins? They insist that I am and I end up explaining that I've had like 8 ultrasounds b/c i see a specialist and not once have they suspected another baby behind my baby or anything. Ugh, people can be so rude.. but I too, am sensitive and this annoys me!!

People have been asking me if I am having twins since before I started showing. I say "no" and then when they question if I am sure, I am forced to tell them that I saw the damn follicle for myself because I am an IUI patient and I had multiple sonograms and betas. Its never good enough.

I get this all the time at work... Iam 28 wks and people say -- WOW!! look how big you are..How much longer? Then when I tell them, they say- WHOO... Your gonna have a huge baby. Do you think it's twins?? HMM...NO! DUMB A$$

It's been a long time since I was pregnant. But I grew so much in 1 month the dr even thought it was twins.
This was 24 yrs ago before they monitered everyone the way they do now. 1 sonogram later and it was confirmed there was only 1 baby.

But I would get it ALL the time.
