Would 2 hours cause such a HORRIBLE rash ?

How many hours would you say it would take to get a REALLY bad diaper rash ? bright red all over ?

I've never seen anything like this before.


I picked dd up from daycare at 3:30, they said last diaper change was 2:20.

I changed at 4:30, found poop (not what I would call fresh) covering a horrible diaper rash. When I wiped it she screamed!


I'm wondering if the 2:20 diaper change really happened.

Or

If a diaper rash like that could really come on in 2 hours ?

I also started using dry max diapers, now I dont know what to think

My son has sensitive skin and he can get a rash like that in 30 minutes. Poop can be very acidic and it can burn their sensitive skin. I would warn your day care about it and use some cream until it clears up.

Yes, poop can do that in a matter of minutes.

i have read that it can happen with those diapers THAT quickly, yes.

i'm so sorry!

when Em had a HORRIBLE rash (we had the stomach virus here, i was changing pure diarrhea diapers every hour)....we used this & viva paper towels (instead of wipes), combined with the California Baby Diaper Rash Cream & once we did that - she didn't cry anymore...(and the rash went away within 1 day).
