WORST RE agents
So, first we lost our buyers because they decided they didn't want to put down 20% even though they had it- they held the contracts for 3 weeks! Our RE agents, even though they say they will continue to show until a contract is signed, did not show our place in those 3 weeks. After we lose the buyer, we set an open house and the RE agent shows up to the open house without the keys! I wasn't even in the state on Sunday so I made sure to give them my DH's number to call over the weekend for apntmts and such. The guy never called my DH and instead stood outside of our co-op handing out flyers and business cards to all the people that came! I am so aggravated and disappointed right now. We signed our house contract last week and really need to sell our place. I think I'm going to ask for a release and go to someone else. They really f'd up the open house for us. we don't have time for their mistakes.
ugh, sorry needed to vent

Re: WORST RE agents
That stinks about the buyers - but are you sure there were other people interested in seeing your place while the contracts were out? It really could be that there was no activity.
I literally will continue to show a home until the contracts are signed - that is in the best interest of the sellers and I don't want to end up getting screwed in the end if contracts fall through (which always happens)
Maybe talk to your agents about your concerns so that they can address them first, and def. let them know that you are disappointed - maybe that will make them shape up!
ETA: I can't believe they had the contracts for 3 weeks....were the lawyers in touch during this period? THat is absurd!

Re: WORST RE agents
i know during the 3 weeks period that the RE agents were telling potential buyers that we had an accepted offer when they inquired about the place because some still wanted to see it, whereas others prob didn't bother because we had an offer. Plus, if the buyers didn't want to put down the 20%- as required by the board, our RE agents should have never pre-qualified them.
We've talked to them, they are supposedly getting every agent involved in selling our place and set up another open house, but i don't know if it will work and i really don't want to waste anymore time. so ******!

Did the buyers originally say they would be putting down the 20% bc if they didn't that is crazy that they just wasted everyone's time like that.
I'm sorry - I know it is so frustrating but you will get another buyer it just may take some time. And, if you feel that your agents are not working hard enough for you then that's def. a decision you will have to make.
Good luck!
