Worried
So I am back at work now (I'm a teacher) and today all day I have been experiencing sharp, knife like pains. I've had consistent cramping since before BFP, but this is totally different. I called the doctor to play it safe and he said I could be dehydrated (I am trying to drink lots of water) and could just not be used to being on my feet all day. The doctor prescribed me anti inflammatories for the next three days in hopes this helps. I have an appointment already scheduled for Monday, so he will check my cervical length then. Fortunately, there is no spotting, but I can't help but worry I am only 9w3d and am so scared Please pray that everything is okay

Re: Worried
I had really bad, sharp cramping around 9-10 weeks also. I hope everything is ok.

Re: Worried
Seriously it is just so warm in the schools. Be careful. I just keep trying to find rooms with ac in them and move my classes there. I ended up sick 5 times yesterday bc I was so hot!

Re: Worried
Thanks for your reassurance. I took my first dose of meds at 6pm (double dose) and I've been sleeping since - knocked me out! I am still feeling the occasional knife pains though And it's pretty much located in one area. Could it be stretching I'm feeling? Is it a good/bad thing that it's located in one area instead of all over?

Re: Worried
Could you have a fibroid that's growing? Did they check you for fibroids?

Re: Worried
I get a sharp pain every now and then... but it was similar to gas pains I would get ocassionally before being pregnant. I just attribute the pains to that. It lasts for a split second and that's all-- but not really multiple times a day.
I try not to worry about every little thing I feel-- unless it is really bad, it's probably nothing. Your whole insides are changing-- you are bound to feel SOMETHING.
I asked my doc about different cramps and stuff-- and basically if there is no blood, there is no cause for concern.

Re: Worried
I'm sure everything will be fine. I had a lot of knife like pain and cramping in my first trimester and even some in my second. Try to rest and not get yourself worked up. !

Re: Worried
I'm a teacher too and this week had been the most difficult and brutal of my pregnancy. Between being on my feet, running around the building and teaching, I have just been beaten up. Drink A LOT of water. I drink about a gallon at work each day. I just bring it into my classroom with a little plastic cup and keep refilling. By my 3rd class I am almost done with it. The heat has been oppressive as well. Make sure to rest a lot this weekend and next week will be a bit more bearable.
