Workout
Anyone working out through their pregnancy??? If so what are you doing? How long and how many days per week?
I love working out but these first few weeks I have been so tired and all I can eat is carbs to help ease my stomach. I feel like I have gained 10 pounds within my first 8 weeks. Today I feel a bit better and seriously need to make better choices in regards to my food and workout routine..

Re: Workout
I haven't been, but I want to do some sort of pilates to help me in case my back hurts later. I'll probably try for 3x per week and go from there.

Re: Workout
I ran every morning with my dog for 1/2 hour until I was about 24 weeks. Now it's more of a fast-paced walk. She keeps me active!
If I could go back I would do hand weights that whole time too to keep my arms in shape.
Just make sure your heart rate isn't too high and stay hydrated, and you can stay very active!

Re: Workout
Up until last week i was running still 3 times a week (logging about 20 miles) taking spin class and weight training etc.... I had a bit of an issue so had to stop. I am probably not going to be allowed to do anymore high impact but I am hoping to be able to at least ride my bike. This last week of doing nothing is driving me nuts as I am very active. I am 21 weeks and was hoping to at least workout another month or two!!!!

Re: Workout
I do prenatal yoga @ least once a week sometimes twice. I do the ellipictal for 30 min twice a week & walk about 2 miles once a week. Have been doing this throughout the whole pregnancy. A lil over 36 weeks still continuing and plan to until i physically can not anymore. I do get very tired and sometimes do not want to do it but once i get it done i feel so good.

Re: Workout
The first month or two, i was exhausted so i didn't do anything.
Then i was doing about 1/2 hour per day at home (workout dvd) but that lasted about a week because i was put on pelvic rest.
Now i'm off pelvic rest but just lazy. I keep meaning to start working out again but i haven't done anything about it yet. oops lol

Re: Workout
I wish I could say that I workout, but I don't. In the beginning I did prenatal yoga (I was doing yoga for about 6 months before I became pregnant) and then I bought a couple of prenatal yoga videos, resistence bands and ball. The videos were hard! My legs and arms would burn so I stopped (lol). I do the ball for a bit - just sit on it and roll my hips around.
Like, BBin, I should do more arm stuff.
I'm sure your 3 girls run you around

Re: Workout
Lots of walking through out the day
Try to do prenatal pilates a few times a weeks but its getting harder to fit that in with all the projects that need to get done around the house

Re: Workout
I'm going to start running again this weekend. Keeping my fingers cross that my all day sickness goes away soon. I started doing some jumprope this morning since I felt good and I also do a lot of light weights to keep my arms in shape. With my other pregnancies, I worked out till the last day and was able to loose the weight within a month. But then again I felt very good throughout the entire pregnancy. I can't say I feel the same with this one

Re: Workout
I worked out through most of my pregnancy (3x a week) but now that I am 31 weeks it is much less. I walk for 2 miles on the treamill and lift light weights when I do work out. HTH

Re: Workout
I had zero energy to workout during my first trimester. But now in my 2nd trimester I've been feeling much better and have been trying to make a point of getting on the treadmill to walk for a half hour at least a few times a week. I used to do so much more before I was pregnant, but I"m afraid to overdo it now. Now that its getting hot out I plan to start swimming too. I heard that's great exercise for during pregnancy. Just do what you feel comfortable with. Some days I park far back in the lot of a store I'm going to and count the walk to the store, around the store, and back to the car as my exercise for the day

Re: Workout
Not that I'm that far along but from the day I got my bfp I've been getting up earlier to do 1/2 hour on my elliptical and some hand weights, squats and such. It helps that I'm so tired at night I pass out by 9:30 so getting up earlier isn't as difficult!

Re: Workout
I was running up until 20 weeks. It got too hard after that, I try to walk 5 times a week in the mornings for 40 minutes ~ 2.5 miles.

Re: Workout
I was running about 25 miles a week until 7 weeks when I was put on pelvic rest until 13 weeks (I'm almost 15 now). I'm really struggling to get back into a schedule of working out. I've been walking about 3 times a week for at least 30 min, but I feel like such a waste of space. It's been hard to go from being so active to being completely sedentary and I'm afraid that if I can't get back in to it now, I'm screwed for after LO gets here!

Re: Workout
I play tennis and run a little too. I am exhausted during and after my matches, but I love it. I'll probably slow down in a couple of months.

Re: Workout
I am running/walking (run 10 minutes, walk 5) for 45 minutes, 4 times a week. I am 23.5 weeks now, and hoping to keep this up for a while longer. When running becomes uncomfortable, I'll walk instead.
