Working out at night
or more specifically, after dinner - how DO you do it? Do you just wait a while after you eat?
It stinks. I'd much rather get the workout in before dinner, but by the time I get Riley to bed, DH is home, and it's time to make dinner. I really don't feel like waiting until 8pm to work out.
I'm guessing those of you that do work out at night...you're taking classes? I WISH I could do that. I hope someday to take Zumba but it's just so hard with our schedules. Right now it's just 30 day shred.

I work out at 8pm at home using Excercise TV on demand. I eat dinner at about 5:30 or 6 sometimes, which is fine because that's when I feed my kids. I also have a snack after (maybe not the best idea at 9 pm?).
My other option is 5 am, and I'm afraid to wake up kids at that time (not to mention that I cannot just jump up out of bed and start working out, doesn't seem natural to do that to my body LOL, plus I hate getting in the shower when I'm all sweaty because I feel like I come out sweaty with a red face - I need time to cool down!)
I don't like it, but I only do it 3x a week so it doesn't feel so bad. Another day or 2 I just go out earlier in the day for a jog.

I do a DVD at home after the kids are in bed-usually around 9pm.
I hate working out so late but it is my only real option.

I do an 8PM hot yoga class 2 or 3x a week if I am lucky and can get there. It's hard sometimes because of DH's schedule.
I try to squeeze in a daytime class on the weekend if I am able.
Over the past few months I've had to suck and up and realize I am just not always going to be able to go as much as I want. There are times even when DH is home on time, that I am just way too tired to go.
It's something I like though so I try to remember that if I am in the mindset of not going and am able to for the most part.

I feed the kids dinner around 6:30ish...DH comes home around then- and on the days I work so do I.
Kids asleep around 8pm. I run until around 9pm. DH and I eat dinner and relax until 10:30. Cleanup and in bed by 11:30pm.
I love the days I am home or on weekends- I go running at 6:30 while DH feeds them. Then I'm home at 7:30/8 for us to do bed time together!
