woke up with a stomach ache...should I go to the doc?

I woke up in the middle of the night with sharp stomach pains. They lasted for a few hours and even still I do not feel so hot. Does it make sense for me to go to the doctor? Should I call my OB? The pains were up pretty high but every once in a while they would be low too. Do you think if I go to the regular doc they will do anything anyway?

What stinks is....I didn't go to work today b/c of it and I am pretty sure I wont get paid today unless I have a doctors note (since Friday was a holiday). What do you think I should do....I don't want to waste anyone's time either, and I kinda just want to stay here and rest.

If you are doubled over in pain and can't function I would call... but honestly that sounds like gas pains to me. I had them REALLY bad once and the pain was super sharp. However, I'd hate for it to be something more serious

bumping to add...yup, I was right. Work just called me to tell me I wont get paid for today unless I have a doctors note. Maybe I will just go to the walk in place...it's not like I'm making this up just to have off for the day. I was fully planning on being at work today
