with a deep breath..

I start round 2 IVF tomorrow. I dont know how I am going to do it or get thru it. #1 resulted in zero fertilization. I found out my RE office didnt bill my ins for the first one and they dont know how much will be covered for #2. I am torn between paying or waiting till the billing passes. At least 3wks Ahhh!! I dont feel like I should wait as my eggs each day get older and older. Im giving myself agida and ate a bowl of icecream.
Now I feel bad and fat. I want to know how anyone can mentally and monetarily get thru this. God bless them.

I so dont know what to do.. Should I take a month off,wait for billing to go thru & go on vacation with the money I should be spending on treatment.

Or keep in the game.

Call the billing office and ask how much will be billed & then call the insurance co and ask how much $$ will be left.

I had a $5K yearly limit & no lifetime max, so I scheduled my IVF that way (with the idea if I didn't get preggo on attempt #1, I would wait until January for attempt #2 and a fund "replenish"). I still had to pay OOP, but it was nice to know about essentially a 5K "discount" each time.

I will try to see how much they will be billing out. The biller just seemed to be like "it will be done next week and I cant tell you anything right now." I have to lay out more $$ too next week. Its really not right in my opinion they had the whole month prior to bill as we went. I cant help thinking the billing will be messed up. I hate my insurance who is still sending me bills for things that should be covered 100% from April. So when she said 3 wks Im thinking more like 3 months. and I have a $15k lifetime cap. I may be there already .

I would keep in the game, now. Billing, money and insurance can be worked out during or after, i wouldn't want to lose out on time, because that would bother me more. Thats just me tho......either decision you make, i wish you the very best of luck.

If you feel ready to start then go for it. The billing stuff is always extremely stressful but hopefully it will work itself out. Definitely call insurance and get on them. These insurance companies are the worst! They don't understand that there are biological time constraints that we are dealing with!

Well if you want to know about "how to go on" I'm the one to talk to...LOL... You just do it because you have to.

I would not wait. Get going, billing will sort itself out. It takes a few months for it all to get billed/go through insurance/ go back to doc office for corrections/back to insurance....etc.... I always say, you can get more money later, but you can't get more time.

Good luck this cycle. Most cycles are completely different.

i sucked it up got over the $$ and said the hell with it "I am doing this" a few tears later and I was starting my protocol again. thanks I figure I really dont have time to wait.
