Wishing well poem to bring a book instead of a card?
Anyone have a saying to write on a baby shower invite for guest to bring a book instead of a card?

We included this poem with my invitation (on a separate little card)
As (your name)'s due date is coming near,
We are inviting friends and family dear
To chose their favorite story, fairy tale, or nursery rhyme,
That you would like Baby (your last name) to hear each night at bedtime.
Let (your name) and (DH's name) take a look,
At your special choice of a book,
And then to baby (last name) they both will read
With all the love a child will need.
So please sign your name inside as your own personal touch
A bookshelf full of special books will forever mean so much!

I like the poem below, but I wouldn't ask guests to replace a card with a book so I would change that part. Not everyone will be able to get out and get a book, and if the intent is to have people write something in the book so you know who it's from, you have to be careful b/c there would definitely be some duplicates and then you can't return the book!
On my friends invite it simply said "we would love if you could bring your favorite childhood book so we can start a library for baby!". I thought that was perfect!

I just did a friends baby shower invite and on the upper right corner we wrote "In lueu of a card please address a book for the baby's library"
