which ones did you use in the beginning? Pampers has to unscented ones... not sure if it matters which one! Also... how long do you used the unscented ones for?

Re: wipes
I used pampers sensitive unscented for about a year. I probably could have used scented ones sooner, but wanted to stick with the sensitive and I don't think they make them in scented (or at least they didn't make them that I knew of).

The 'cloths' are glorified paper towels. I took whatever was on the cart home with me, once those were gone, I used wipes. (Probably after about 4 days)

We used them early on too. Try to get alcohol free early on if you're circumsising your boy.

In the baby care class I took they said use those for 2 weeks. I will probably use whatever they give me then use the newborn sensitive wipes. Hopefully they are I scented. I need to check the box.

GET ALCOHOL FREE!!!!!
If your lo ever gets a diaper rash the alcohol will burn them. I found that out the hard way

Loooooove Huggies. I used scented. They were the thickest most durable wipe IMO.

Same...used them for the first week then switched to the Costco wipes--my DD is 2 now and that is all we still use. Great value and very gentle. My DD has very sensitive skin and Huggies ones bothered her.

Me too but I use the Huggies natural care. I feel like all other wipes are so thin, I use like 100 at a time.

Re: wipes
I have two DS and we always used costco wipes from the day we came home. We never had any problem. I like to Costco ones much better than any others we tried.

You will not use the towels for very long. The need to be wet so unless you are changing the baby by a sink it will be a pain.
I used wipes from the second I left the hospital. DS never had an issue and at 13 months has never had diaper rash.
We use target brand wipes.

I heard this for the first time in the baby care class....but did not think it was that practical...and figured most moms use wipes in the beginning and their babies are okay. lol

Re: wipes
Some of my friends who delivered in other areas said the hospital used regular wipes.
The little towels they give you are not practical as the previous poster said - you need to wet them - so either be near a sink or keep a fresh container of water near the changing table.
We used Pampers sensitive by day 3. I just started using Target sensitive and they seem good too.
I kept all the hospital paper towel things as they are good for on the go burp cloths, cleaning up messes, etc. So def steal them, even if you won't use them as wipes.

Re: wipes
We used tissues and water for the first few weeks. My ped was pretty against wipes in the very beginning. After a month or so (I don't remember the exact time) we switched to wipes. We used Huggies Naturals at first but I really didn't like them. We switched to Kirkland (Costco) brand and LOVE them.

I used wipes the second we got home - so much easier.
I've tried Pampers, Huggies, Target and BJs but, my favorites are Costco.
I have used unscented from the get-go. I have sensitive skin as to my kids so it's just easier.
