Winthrop food question
Tomorrow I am going in for a csection to have baby #2. If my Dh wanted to bring outside food when the dr says I can eat is he allowed?

Yes. I don't think I ate any of the hospital food when I was there with #1 (this was 2 years ago though).

I ate the food while I was there (I picked what I wanted), but DH brought his own food and ate with me and brought me a ton of snacks to eat overnight (they have a dessert cart that comes around too).

Crashing for a sec... the food at Winthrop is very good! They actually have a special menu for the new moms, because they want "repeat customers."  But sure, you can eat any other food from the outside that you want to.
Oh, and you can order as much food as you want. The nurses there actually told me to order two entrees, two desserts, etc. so DH could eat with me when he was there.

Winthrop food question
the food was good back in 2009 when I had ds... the only thing I didn't like was the scrambled eggs....
They give you a menu like the day before, and you circle off all the food you want them to bring. my sister also told me circle as much as I want (for me to eat, not even dh) lol !!
You can bring outside food in, just you can't eat if your in labor.

yes! never an issue when I was there!
ETA - the food is good but after 40 weeks of not having certain things, sometimes that is all you want and maybe it isnt an option ya know? my DH brough sushi one night

You can eat outside food but as pp's said the food there is good - and they bring around a snack cart with all sorts of goodies!

When I was there in Nov 2010, outside food was fine. DH had a list of food to bring me lol.

After reading this thread I feel like I was totally jipped! I didn't get a snack cart, chocolate cake, or an awesome chicken Caesar salad. I so wish I had any of those options esp the chocolate cake, haha.

I had wings and sandwiches from outside too. And coffee. Dh bought me coffee from 7-11.

Winthrop food question
I remember eating cake...had to circle it on the menu...
gotta love dh tonight, he got a shake to which I said I'm jealous- and he then asked if I want one brought to the hospital since I haven't been able to have more than a sip with the GD
