Re: Winter mommies - outerwear?
From a BTDT mom, don't make yourself too crazy when looking for outerwear...
I cannot tell you how many of those prams sat in their closets tags still attached ( especially the ones that look like sacks) Many of them do not unzip between the legs and it would be impossible for the carseat straps to go on....Some have a "hole" where the straps go thru but they are way too bulky as well in the car-seat....It seems as if they were made for stroller moms who live in the city or something I did have one very pricey LL Bean one that did unzip between the legs and even that was only used a handful of times ( in the stroller only)
I personally used the Bundle Me ( though I know now that they are saying they are unsafe) , but if you do not feel comfortable using that the Kiddopotamous Pouch or the like is really your best bet overall ...

Also from a BTDT we had bought DS a fleece snow suit and the hospital will not send your child home with it. They will not allow it in the car seat. So I got a bundle me sort of thing and thats what I used. Those things are bulky and effect how tight you make the straps in the carseat.
