Winery in November???
My best friend and I have birthdays in November and we'd like to go to a winery. I know that it would be ideal to go in the warmer months but I'm wondering if it would be worth while to go in November. If so, any recommendations? Any suggestions are appreciated!

Re: Winery in November???
I think the wineries are much nicer in the fall. You have the beautiful foliage. The LI wineries always seem packed these days, but I think you get at least a slightly smaller crowd in November than in the summer. At least it is cooler so the massive crowds aren't as stifling.
As far as a recommendation, LI has many (50 or 60ish?) out east. Is there a particular vibe you're looking for?

I actually only have been to duck walk and I only spent a couple of hours there. Otherwise I have zero experience with wineries. I'm open to suggestions. I don't have anything particular in mind.

Winery in November???
I've been in the fall, I've actually been as late as thanksgiving. It's beautiful. I recommend, if you like duck walk because I'm a huge duck walk fan! Lol sparkling pointe, Raphael, Pindar I enjoyed as well. I have been to a wedding at Jason's vineyard and enjoy it- never went for just tasting though. I didn't like jamesport

Re: Winery in November???
I'll only go to the vineyards in Oct/Nov because I hate the heat.
I'm actually dying to go but all my friends are preggers. DH offered to go but that sounds super boring

Re: Winery in November???
Some of my favorites are Raphael, Bedell, Jamesport, Jason's, Sherwood House, and Sparkling Pointe.
I think the tasting room at Harbes is adorable, but it has always been extremely crowded there in the fall when I've gone in October. The spot has a ton of "fall happenings" (pumpkins, food, activities for kids).
I've noticed that Raphael tends to host many weddings, so I would call ahead to see if it's open before you go.

I love going in the fall! Def go to Sparkling Pointe. The tasting room is awesome, they have a nice outdoor area. I like Jason's as well.

Winery in November???
We go year round because we're wine club members at Bedell. We love it out there. Kontokosta is another favorite. We also like Macari and Paumanok.

I like Sherwood House. It's small and intimate and has a nice fireplace and great wine. I also like Raphael, Bedell, Corey Creek and Palmer.

Re: Winery in November???
I don't shop on Black Friday, but it would be ideal if you were hitting the Riverhead outlets...shoot right over after shopping.

Winery in November???
I go all year long, even in the winter. They are pretty much all open, though some in the winter are closed during the week, but still open weekends.
