Windows..
Has anyone closed up a window and put two smaller windows up high in their place? We are thinking of doing this in our bedroom, but I don't know the pros or cons. Any pictures??

Re: Windows..
in very modern homes, you sometimes see solid walls with the top 30" being all glass... but that's not just a few windows, the glass extends below the entire roofline. That set-up is gorgeous.... privacy yet bright and airy.
I guess only a few windows would make the room pretty dark... from a resale perspective, I would guess that more windows the better, unless it's facing a busy street and there's tons of noise, or it's immediately adjacent to another building.

Re: Windows..
Do you have at least one large egress window? You need to have at least one window that you can escape from in case of a fire.
